Designed for dynamic business environments this hard-working mobile workstation features the HP Mobile Data Protection System 3D. This additional layer of protection helps to reduce shock and  vibration experienced during normal use by 50%. In-mold Lamination offers a scratch-resistant surface which helps protect your keyboard deck.

Integrated security solutions

The HP nw8440 features integrated HP ProtectTools to provide secure management of your notebook, data and network connection. This includes a TPM Embedded Security Chip, Smart Card Reader and an HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor. The new HP Disk Sanitizer, a unique HP offering, guarantees 100% data confidentiality by completely wiping all sensitive business information from your hard drives.

Enhanced power management

The initial primary battery life of 4 hours can be increased to 7 hours with the optional HP Extended Life Battery or to an impressive 9h 30m with the HP Ultra Capacity Battery. HP Fast Charge Technology charges the primary battery up to 90% in 90 minutes then charges the secondary battery up to 90% to keep you up and running.
